As a volunteer he is Head of Coaching at Hemel Hempstead Canoe Club and has received a volunteer award from Canoe England and was runner up Dacorum Community Coach of the year 2010. He has worked at Herts Young Mariners Base running paddling and sailing sessions as well as helping on raft building. He's also volunteer organiser (LCO) for Canoe England and set up an easily updatable website for them.
He has a host of BCU (British Canoe Union) qualifications including being a level 3 coach. In addition he has attended a lot of UK Sports Coach workshops. He has a current emergency first aid (8hrs with CPR) certificate and have done the Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Equity in your Coaching workshops. He completed a raft guide course in 2010 and has been practising at the Olympic Lee Valley white water course. He also runs rafting trips and does sessions for various special needs groups as well as parties. For dragon boating and rafting see the teambuilding section. Robin also offers paddle parties for children see here. The usual cost for a 1 to 1 (or small group) paddling session is £40.
Robin also runs pool /rolling training at Sandringham School Pool over the winter, subject to pool availability. These are fun sessions where you can learn to roll, are taught various skills and play polo to build confidence and reinforce skills.
